FreshFocus Support
We're happy to help.
FreshFocus is a zero-effort expiry tracker for iPhone: snap a photo of a product label and the app extracts the item name and expiration date, or add items by hand. If something isn't working or you have a question, reach out any time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do smart scans work?
When you take or pick one or two photos of a product label, FreshFocus uploads them to our backend, which uses an AI vision service to read the product name and expiration date and add the item for you. Manual tracking is always free and never uploads anything.
Why did a scan not find a date?
The AI can only read what's clearly visible in the photo. For the best results, make sure the printed date is in focus and well lit, and try a closer second photo of just the date. If no usable date is found, the smart scan is refunded automatically, so you won't lose it.
How do free scans and buying more work?
Every installation starts with a number of free smart scans. When you run out, you can buy more as one-time packs through the App Store. Purchased scans are added to your balance and do not expire. You are only charged for what you buy — there is no subscription.
I bought scans but don't see them. What do I do?
Purchases are verified with Apple and usually credit within a moment. If a purchase doesn't appear, make sure you have a network connection and reopen the app so it can finish verifying. If you redeemed an offer code, allow a little time for Apple to process it. Still stuck? Email us with the approximate date and time of purchase and we'll help.
How is my data stored, and how do I delete it?
The items you track — names, dates, and any saved label photos — are stored locally on your device using Apple's app storage. To delete a single item, remove it in the app. To delete everything, delete the FreshFocus app from your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what our backend handles during smart scans.
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests go through Apple's "Report a Problem" process at reportaproblem.apple.com. See our Terms of Service for details.
